Management Training that rewires habits, not just fills notebooks

Most management courses give your people a binder and a smile. We give them tools they will actually use on Monday morning — because we build every programme around the friction your team already faces.

The friction points we specialise in

Meetings that drain instead of decide

Your managers run meetings where everyone speaks and nothing changes. We teach structured decision frameworks that cut meeting time by a third and double the output of actionable commitments.

Feedback loops that never close

Performance conversations happen once a year, if at all. We install lightweight feedback rituals that take five minutes a week and create a culture of continuous improvement without the bureaucratic overhead.

Delegation that boomerangs

Tasks leave the manager's desk only to return half-finished. Our delegation model clarifies authority levels so team members own outcomes, not just tasks, and managers reclaim strategic thinking time.

New managers left to figure it out

Brilliant individual contributors get promoted and immediately flounder. Our first-time-manager track bridges the gap between doing the work and leading the people who do the work, with live practice, not slides.

Cross-functional silos

Departments protect territory instead of sharing goals. We run joint-accountability workshops that align incentives across functions and give managers a shared language for resolving inter-team conflict quickly.

Change fatigue and initiative overload

Every quarter brings a new priority and teams stop trusting the direction. We teach managers to sequence change, communicate rationale transparently, and protect their teams from initiative whiplash.

Four phases, no fluff

Diagnostic deep-dive

We shadow your managers, interview their direct reports, and review existing performance data. Within ten working days you receive a friction map — a visual report showing exactly where management habits help or hinder your organisation's goals. No generic surveys, no guesswork.

Programme design

Using the friction map, we build a bespoke curriculum. Modules are sequenced around your business calendar so that learning lands when it matters — before budget season, ahead of restructures, or timed to onboarding waves. Every exercise uses real scenarios from your workplace, not textbook case studies.

Live delivery and practice

Sessions run in cohorts of eight to twelve managers, either on-site in Scotland or via interactive remote workshops. Each session pairs a short input with an extended practice block where managers rehearse conversations, decisions, and delegation in a safe space with live coaching feedback.

Embed and measure

Six weeks after the final session we return to measure behavioural change against the original friction map. Managers who need reinforcement get one-to-one coaching sprints. You receive a board-ready impact report with quantified improvements in meeting efficiency, team engagement scores, and decision speed.

Core curriculum modules

Not every team member needs the same approach. This module teaches managers to diagnose the competence and commitment level of each individual and flex between directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating. Participants practise with live role-play scenarios drawn from your own organisational context, receiving immediate facilitator feedback on tone, pacing, and clarity.
Avoidance is the most expensive management behaviour. This module gives managers a repeatable framework for addressing underperformance, mediating peer disputes, and pushing back on unreasonable demands from above — without damaging relationships. We cover the neuroscience of threat response so managers understand why people shut down and how to keep the conversation productive.
Middle managers are crushed between strategic ambition and operational reality. This module introduces impact-effort mapping, stakeholder negotiation tactics, and a structured method for declining low-value work without career risk. Participants leave with a personal prioritisation charter they can share with their own teams the following week.
You do not need a coaching qualification to use coaching techniques daily. We teach the GROW model, powerful questioning, and reflective listening in a way that fits inside a ten-minute one-to-one. Managers practise triads — one coaches, one is coached, one observes and debriefs — so learning is embodied, not theoretical.
High-performing teams are not the ones with the smartest people — they are the ones where people feel safe to speak up. This module covers the behaviours that build and erode trust, practical rituals like pre-mortems and blameless retrospectives, and how to model vulnerability without losing authority. Managers create a personal safety action plan with three concrete commitments.
